Releasing as part of Nike's Air Max Day 2023 celebration, the Nike Air Max 1 '86 OG 'Big Bubble - Red' revives the debut colorway of the performance runner turned sneaker icon, complete with the larger visible Air bubble found on the initial launch pairs in 1986. Like the original, this retro iteration features an upper constructed from a blend of breathable white mesh, gray synthetic suede overlays, and contrasting hits of University Red on the mudguard and signature Swoosh. Additional crimson accents land on the molded eyelets and Nike Air branding on the tongue and heel overlay. Restored to its original size, an exposed Air-Sole unit nestled in the heel of the white polyurethane midsole provides a cushioned ride.
