Michael Jordan broke a backboard in 1985 during a Nike Europe tour while wearing an orange, black, and white outfit. A 2015 Air Jordan 1 "Shattered Backboard" sneaker (aka "Shattered Backboard" 1.0) was created to commemorate the incident and the uniform. In the fall of 2016, an Air Jordan 1 "Shattered Backboard Away" (also known as "Reverse" and "Shattered Backboard 2.0") was released. The black laces and Nike logo remain, but the orange toe cap and the black surrounding the toe and tongue have been replaced with white.
