As its nickname suggests, the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe "Studio" showcases a design rooted in everyday wear, a stark departure from the creative partners' Mars Yard project, which was billed as a sneaker built for scientists who they travel in space. The understated GPS sports an off-white knit upper with a printed white Swoosh and tonal suede overlays on the forefoot and heel. A pair of oversized royal blue tongues offer bursts of contrasting color. The sneaker sits atop a three-piece cupsole, with rubberized rubber sidewalls, a cushioned EVA core and a durable rubber waffle traction outsole.
