Mike Parker, Tinker Hatfield, and Hiroshi Fujiwara collaborated to create the Sock Dart in 2004. To commemorate Independence Day in 2015, Nike decided to offer an updated version of the legendary performance silhouette. The Sock Dart SP "Independence Day," released as part of a series of USA colorways, features a white knit and mesh upper with TPU embellishments on the midfoot strap. The sneaker also has a cushioned outsole with black accents on the Swoosh on the side, tongue, and heel.
