The "Shattered Backboard" Air Jordan 1 High, released in 2015, is inspired by an exhibition game Michael Jordan played in 1985 in Trieste, Italy, where he shattered the backboard following a dunk. The orange, black, and white colorway is inspired by the team jersey MJ wore during the game and modeled after the OG "Black Toe" colorblocked AJ1. Crafted from premium tumbled leather in the original Air Jordan 1 hightop style, the Air Jordan 1 "Shattered Backboard" was extremely limited when it first launched and is now one of the most sought-after aftermarket colorways of the iconic shoe.
