Jordan 1 Retro High Bred Banned (2016)

Michael Jordan was fined $5,000 per game in 1985 for wearing the Air Jordan 1 'Black/Red' because they did not feature the colour white, which was part of the Chicago Bulls' official team colours. Nike created the 'Banned' campaign around the sneakers as a marketing tool to introduce and promote the Air Jordan range. In 1994, 2011, 2013, and 2016, the shoe was retroed. The 2011 model included a 'X' on the heel to honour the 'Banned' moniker.
