The smooth synthetic leather base sets the stage for a plethora of suede overlays across the forefoot, midfoot and around the heel. Different shades of gray claim “real estate” throughout the mid-top Air Jordan 1, with some panels appearing to nod to the high-top trim’s “Neutral Grey” release from February 2021 (originally 1985). The internal fleece lining, however, helps the offering create its own identity as the winter-ready design cue deviates drastically from what has historically been done by the Air Jordan line. Finally, the Nike Dunk-reminiscent outsole opts for a white midsole and gray outsole which further contributes to the clean look of the sneaker.
