BWOOD now available at dropout
As part of a strategic move to expand the visibility of leading streetwear brands in Italy, dropout is pleased to announce the availability of the American independent streetwear brand BWOOD both instore and on dropoutmilano.com. Brian Wood is an independent American fashion designer who has been contributing to the growth of streetwear since 2003. His exclusive BWOOD clothing and accessories lines for men and women reflect a rebellious attitude and a whimsical sense of humor that has earned him a strong following among young urban consumers.
BWOOD's prominence is attributed to a distinctive conceptual style that mixes meticulous workmanship, technological fabrication and mashup patterns with a reference to popular culture: each piece is made to be conversational and thought-provoking, providing the wearers with strong social statements.
Brian has collaborated with Nike on one-off designs and prototypes, as well as foresight and creative direction for special releases and capsules spanning apparel, footwear, and retail design.
He has also done limited-edition design collaborations for CBS Television, High Times, and Crown Royal. Brian co-designed a sub-brand called BWVS and a more logo-heavy collection called No Deal with Vinnies Styles in Brooklyn. Musicians Future, Ciara, DJ Marshmello, Jillionaire of Major Lazer, Big Boi of Outkast, Lil Jon, Tory Lanez, and SER have all worn BWOOD, as have actor and singer Utkarsh Ambudkar, actor Alan Cummings, comedian Chad Tepper, and nightlife promoter David Grutman.
BWOOD is available in New York City’s Lower East Side at the Wood Shoppe, the brand’s official retail location and headquarters, and now in Europe at dropout.
Brian founded BWOOD in a Washington Heights apartment after graduating from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Fashion Design, armed with big-city hopes and an industrial sewing machine to produce his first line of pop-art-inspired tees .
