La New Balance 550 "White Purple" è una semplice colorazione bicolore della classica scarpa da basket prodotta per la prima volta nel 1989. La parte superiore è realizzata in pelle bianca con rivestimento in suede sull'avampiede e accenti viola in tutto. Una clip sul tallone in TPU, un logo "N" in rilievo sul pannello laterale e "550" stampato sull'avampiede laterale sono tra questi. Il basso è costruito con una suola preformata in gomma resistente e un cuneo in EVA esposto sul fianco mediale.
